Meh. With it taking three of today's seasons to equal one of the old days, and the first season of a series basically being the trash/working out the bugs season, it makes sense for STD to be the Beta version that came fore the good stuff.

If any of that were true, it'd have been canceled after introducing the SNW crew. It is a great show that has made people much younger than us get interested in this universe for the first time.

Disco is getting canceled when it's finally getting into a season 2/3 vibe.
Honestly I think Yeoh would have been a much stronger lead and the entire Green/Spock's sister thread was a giant anchor on the series that wasn't even remotely interesting.

This argument sounds like it was made up from random AI word salad, but I'll bite.
How does the intellectual laziness of today's 10-14 episode "seasons" (lol), which often have barely more than one storyline drawn out painfully through an increasingly growing "Previously On Star…

The trouble is the digital effects Discovery used are pricy. Normal TNG and such had fixed sets they utilized for years. That would be why we got less episodes. I personally would have liked them to put Discovery on broadcast TV but they were trying to sell the steaming.

The first season of every new show has had bugs to work out, and wasn't loved in the beginning. Petulant fanatics didn't like the 1st season of TNG, DS9, and Voy, and complained about them loudly.
But Disco is an amazing show, I won't be taking questions or replying to bs
