Did you know? The Spirit of Detroit statue was created by sculptor Marshall M. Fredericks, who taught at Cranbrook Academy of Art in the 1930s and ’40s and later lived in Birmingham with his wife. He started working on the statue in the late 1950s. #DidYouKnowDetroit
