I'm just not a big fan of needing somber smithing stones 1-10 to upgrade each level of some weapons. I'm sitting with a level 2 weapon and have several somber smithing stones 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, looking all over the map for a 3.

On a side note, also not a big fan of labeling upgrade items with numbers to show their level. Bring back my shards, large shards, chunks and slabs please

Yes thank you. same for me but I cant find and smiting stone 1 anymore to get it to +3. But on top of that I have 25+ smiting stone 2s. Pain

There is a npc that sells somber stones. It's after Lucaria area, I believe north of it or something like that.

Came here to say this. I had to wiki the item to buy upgrade stones to make this better.

Half of them you can buy infinitely with the right bell bearing, the other half you can find in abundance

I’m sure the fix here would be a trade system x5 (1) for x1 (2) for example

And not being able to convert an abundance of lower tier upgrade materials for lower quantity but higher tiers sucks dude.

I mean a major NPC blacksmith you literally can’t miss sells them 1-4 Somber stones

The giant blacksmith Iji outside of the Carian Manor sells a bunch of different somber smithing stones

get miner's bell bearings from dungeons, neglecting any dungeons whatsoever can be the difference in the game being insanely fucking stressful and challenging in a good way
