Sadly... this is the type of outcry from many privileged (mostly white) South Africans when it comes to service delivery protests.
Dismayed by the violence.
Shocked by the discomfort.
Oblivious and ignorant to the realities that led to the clash in the first place.
She said she lives in the area, and explained: “I came from South Africa to move away from this... I don’t want this. This is not the Hong Kong I’ve grown to love.”
