Dionysus is the god of wine-making, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre. Wine was a religious focus and was his earthly incarnation. Wine could ease suffering, bring joy, and inspire divine madness.
I've been following this "outrage" for the past couple days and haven't seen anyone actually argue against this *extremely special" individual with his own logic so I'll just showcase the difference of every God and Goddess that appears in both Hades and Dan Machi.
Aphrodite an ancient Greek goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion, and procreation. Aphrodite's major symbols include seashells, myrtles, roses, doves, sparrows, and swans.
Apollo has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. He is considered to be the most beautiful god and is represented as the ideal of the kouros (ephebe, or a beardless, athletic youth).
Ares, the Greek God of War. He embodies the physical valor necessary for success in war but can also personify sheer brutality and bloodlust. An association with Ares endows places, objects, and other deities with a savage, dangerous, or militarized quality.
Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, nature, vegetation, childbirth, care of children, and chastity. Artemis' symbols included a bow and arrow, a quiver, and hunting knives, and the deer and the cypress.
Demeter is the Olympian goddess of the harvest and agriculture, presiding over crops, grains, food, and the fertility of the earth. Demeter is mostly known as a grain goddess, she also appeared as a goddess of health, birth, and marriage, and had connections to the Underworld.
Hephaestus is the Greek god of artisans, blacksmiths, carpenters, craftsmen, fire, metallurgy, metalworking, sculpture and volcanoes. He was cast off Mount Olympus by his mother Hera because of his lameness, the result of a congenital impairment.
Hermes is considered the herald of the gods. He is also considered the protector of human heralds, travelers, thieves, merchants, and orators. Hermes' attributes and symbols include the herma, the rooster, the tortoise, satchel or pouch, talaria, and winged helmet.
Hestia is the virgin goddess of the hearth and the home. Hestia elected never to marry and remain an eternal virgin goddess instead, forever tending to the hearth of Olympus (becoming the first Vestal Virgin).
Special shoutout to the one guy in that original thread that said different people can have different interpretations of the same character and Dan Machi's author just happened to envision Hestia as 10 - 12 year old with a huge bust and that's alright too. I'm not about to -
scour that cesspool to look for the source so it's just going down as Trust me bro. I would appreciate if someone did link me the original though for posterity.
@GrimTheJelly
I can see three or four immediately recognizable elements in the Hades design that easily tell me that’s Dionysus, even if you just showed me the image.
-Grapes
-Wine
-Leopard Skin
-Thyrsus
If I just saw the other one, I’d guess some kind of European nobility from a later era.

Wow, the Hades designs have all been better in my opinion but so far this is the most striking, like, Dan Machi really took *Dionysus* and made him look like the most boring person imaginable.
