@GrahamSmith_ Hang on, we’ve all seen the pics of the banners being waved…. The Met can also say that tensions were controlled and normality maintained. I’m guessing that outcome was pretty close to their original planned outcome for the day.

@GrahamSmith_ Yes. Tricky to protest from a cell: no access to the world, no window, no way to tell the time, a loo (no seat) in front of your ‘bed’, convex mirror on the ceiling, hourly welfare checks that wake you. Intention to prevent present & future protest. Oops sorry doesn’t cut it.

@GrahamSmith_ I saw quite a large protest on Piccadilly, in Green Park, on the lower Strand and near Canada House. Police everywhere keeping an eye out but not preventing the protests. NB Lots of people against the protests because the common theme was that they shouldn’t spoil people’s day.
