While the animation in the commercial is pretty good, the fact that it's in a commercial and this high quality animation can't be seen on TV reinforces the fact that we are living in another dark age of animation.
@MattyPrower
Yes, but my point is, If TV commercials are really the most impressive thing in the industry right now aside from Indie work then that saying something
@MrIppikodoku
Artists have been treated terribly. The industry has reverted back to the assembly line method of making shows disguised as creator driven.
@Gilition
I said this to someone a while ago, but it bears repeating. Commercials often times have more of a budget than animated TV shows. Which is why back in the day, the Trix Rabbit moved at a full 24 frames a second while the Fairly Oddparents didn't.
@Gilition
Ah yes, welcome back to the dark ages of (checks notes) literally any point in TV history. The commercials always get a higher budget than the actual shows. There’s more pressure to do it right because they’re actually trying to SELL something.
@Gilition
Yes, that sucks hard.
Some 2D shows have excellent traditional animation still, but CGI has been enforced with movies in North America for a long time and it’s hopefully stopping at some point since other studios are making mainstream 2D films for this year.
