@GKCdaily In his day, a confrontation was needed against a growing 19th cent. trend seeking to reduce science to a heavily reductive Darwinism. In that context, this pithy remark from the “Prince of Paradox” makes good sense. Let’s not forget the key here: Our *Values* both Bind & Blind.

@GKCdaily @CatholicGKCSoc If this is about scientism; what about the idea that people want to do what is empirically best or aligned with the research in respect to public policy? Or at least recognize the problems at hand?
