I remember Eddie Jordan talking about this subject on BBC F1 years ago, he said something to the lines of if he got an application, he'd ignore it but keep it on file. Then if they tried again later he'd actually look at the applications.

their loss mate, you got a few championships with the one that didnt reject ya 😊 and yes a rejection letter is better than the people who dont bother
