Wilkies has an annual business rates bill of £10k for its outlet in North Berwick, but the rates bill for its store across the Border in Berwick-upon-Tweed is just £2,620, despite both stores having a rateable value of £21k.
SNP : Stronger For Nobody …
@Fyrishsunset
Devolution has been hijacked by
@thesnp
and
@scottishgreens
Instead of concentrating on our public services they have destroyed them. They have taxed Scots to the hilt & ignored the day to day running of Scotland. They only govern for themselves while Scotland suffers.
@Fyrishsunset
@antianti69
Look on any High Street in Scotland and you will see the effect the SNP have. By wasting and using monies fir their Indy obsession, they have consistently reduced allocation of monies to local councils. They have had to raise Business rates for revenue for essential services.

@RojBlakeB7
Vote SNP or Green & you’re inevitably going to get much higher taxes. The problem is that it’s also probably true for Labour & the Lib Dems. Which leaves just the Tories. That’s a problem, however, for a lot of people currently.
@jeemsmith
Is that one of those special SNP branch ‘shops’, run by shameless grifters who each applied for £10k Covid business relief cash? Sounds about right.
