Why work in the struggling care sector, clean offices or hotel rooms, wait tables or pick fruit when SNP clowns want to pay everyone ยฃ25k to sit on their butts doing eff all? Their ignorance of unintended consequences is astounding โ€ฆ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

@Fyrishsunset So, not everyone? I would be as well stopping work as I earn just over ยฃ25k. Why would I work bloody hard for that, if I can get it for nothing?

@Fi_sairelbe They want to pay ยฃ25k to everyone but thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m meaning โ€ฆ Why would anyone work in lower paid jobs or part-time for, say ยฃ15k, if they can sit at home and get ยฃ25k in their hipper. Some would keep on working but suspect most wouldnโ€™t.

@jailbird999999 The Eastern Europeans have never lost their strong work ethic and personal pride. Theyโ€™ll work all the hours God sends and take pride in doing so. God knows what happened to us though.

@Fyrishsunset I actually think I could live in ยฃ25,000. I'd continue picking up tutoring, but with free time and no travel expenses I think I'd seriously consider giving up teaching

@DouglasRob0 See, now thatโ€™s even more terrifying, but I could imagine many doing the same. A teaching crisis. What more could we wish for ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@Fyrishsunset I would give up my health care job , no point in working . Although it would be the first time in my working life I would be on the benefits. Considering I am in my late 50's thats not bad going.

@Fyrishsunset Wonder where all that money would come from. They came away with that last year as well.

@Fyrishsunset So what's the mechanics of this of you earn say ยฃ50k. Do you still get the ยฃ25k on top? I can't for the life of me work this mad scheme out.

@PaulFXBrown Yes, as far as I know. They seem to think people will continue to work in order to have a lot more than the โ€˜basicโ€™ ยฃ25k. If it was Poland, they probably would but this is the UK โ€ฆ

@Fyrishsunset A time for a UBI is coming as AI & Robots cause mass global unemployment but the time is not now nor by any means in the near future. When that time comes I hope it's paid for by taxing companies that use AI & Robots.

@Fyrishsunset They cant even control their own finances. So reward dead beats who dont want to work by punishing the middle class and above.

@Fyrishsunset To clarify to everyone in the comments this policy would mean every adult would "earn" a minimum of ยฃ25k. If you're already earning over that then you'll get nothing. If you're earning ยฃ20k you'll get topped up with ยฃ5k. That's its intended mechanic as it reads.

@Fyrishsunset I think itโ€™s fair to say that the snp mafia are not too clever with the movement of money unless itโ€™s coming to themselves. Then the criminals get rich.
