WHAT COMES NEXT? Barbers Hill ISD held a public forum, but is not making any changes to dress code at this time.
"They have 48 hours to come up with a resolution," De'Andre's father said. "If not, we're going to take this to court."

I work for a State University. I am embraced as an employee, my long hair, my culture and my spiritual beliefs. None of those are infringed. DeAndre school should do the same. Not railroad the kid because of hair. If girls can have long hair and he can't then its sexist.

What is he going to take to court, the rulebook which he and his son signed the beginning of every school year that put them on advance notice about hair length on boys that they agreed to? They are going to sue on behalf of all boys who want to wear their hair longer?
@FOX26Houston
Did a few years in Louisiana. They expelled or suspended black girls because they wore their hair natural. This is just racism. That’s all. Nothing was ever said to my white grandchildren about their hair.
