I don't care what anyone says. Percy Jackson & the Olympians is a great show. It's more faithful to the first novel while adding some great changes than the film. They definitely raise the stakes as it progresses. Love the world building and cast. Can't wait for the S1 finale.

Out of the many shots of Halle Bailey's Ariel in the trailer, this is hands down my favorite. It's such a beautiful shot and the way her hair moves so elegantly underwater like the animated film. The detail and texture of her locs are absolutely perfect!

They did a great job with how the way she moves like a mermaid both with the good use of CGI and Practical. Halle is eating this whole scene and song alone. Ariel's grotto looks very neat. It doesn't look dark & murky as everyone keep complaining (looking at you Film Twitter).

I can't stop thinking about Jonah Hauer-King's Prince Eric. I gotta give it to Rob Marshall and co. for casting him. Not only Jonah looks like the animated Eric but he was given so much character development and charisma. His song Wild Uncharted Waters is so good. #PrinceEric

If Disney were to continue doing live-action remakes, they should their less successful animated films that didn't work out. SWORD IN THE STONE (boring film imo), BLACK CAULDRON, ATLANTIS and TREASURE PLANET could benefit with a live-action treatment since they aren't popular.

One thing I massively agree with Grace with THE LITTLE MERMAID is that Halle Bailey definitely has that spunkiness attitude of a Disney Princess unlike the recent live-action versions of the characters who I've enjoyed but they've missed that element.

According to Variety, Disney's live-action #TheLittleMermaid has cost more than $200 Million to produce and $100 Million to market it. It's projected to gross $120 Million domestically at the box office this Memorial Day Weekend. Great start for this number!

I have high hopes and keep in mind it's only a test screening. I do think it will be much better than Aladdin and so far it looks good with what we're teased. Rob Marshall makes good musicals while Guy Ritchie does not. Can't wait to see more as the film comes out in May.

@KeyWatkins51299 @MarvelStudios @DisneyPlus @SecretInvasion Literally, I personally found this show overall disappointing. Marvel really needs to do at least 8 to 10 episodes with around 40-50 minutes, not including credits for now on. They started out so strong, but now we've gotten to the point that some projects are mediocre & rushed.

@WanesWrld The first book did that, too, because it was Percy's point of view when it comes to telling, not showing. We got to keep in mind it's only just the first season, and the shows targeted for kids since it's a children's story. Later seasons can improve, though. Let's wait & see.

@HmJileswrites Uma Thurman in Kill Bill (both Volumes). She's a complete powerhouse throughout the film and had so much depth. She's totally up there with Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hamilton as one of the best leading badass action heroines in cinema.
