The White House says the sexually-explicit AI images of Taylor Swift are ‘alarming’ and that Congress should take legislative action to address fake abusive images online.
“We are alarmed by the circulation of the false images,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.

you know what would be nice? if everyone on twitter and on the internet 1. backed off and allowed TAYLOR to decide what she wants to do about the issue and 2. stopped pretending that it's an AI issue - you don't need AI to do what was done. You don't even need photoshop, though…

Found your opinion. Photoshop deepfakes were never okay, AI makes it way more accessible, quick & easy to produce. These tools are specifically trained on her face. Also Emma Watson would have every right to bring down the hammer on you if you create & share fake nudes of her.

It's sad that the victim has the be a big name famous person, but when it was an entire year of 15 yo girls at a HS, plus countless other victims (too many of them also children), barely anyone talked about it.
But hey, it's a start (I hope).

100% I've talked about this stuff since almost day 1 of these tools gaining traction. This isn't a taylor swift issue, this is a much bigger issue and lawmakers need to address. Women being harrasses with the tools, people being scammed, blackmailed, misrepresented etc.

So many cooked people in the comments. Unconsentual deepfakes are always wrong, harassing women is always wrong, having a pre built toy TRAINED on peoples faces & data that can easily GENERATE them, the AI model is wrong & the person producing the fakes. Go ahead disagree.
