Was NOT expecting so many to relate to this wow! Thank you all for sharing your experiences, I find it really interesting how majorly different it can be by individual
For me, it's a toss up (and depends on amount) if nothing happens, I get more focused, OR I get blasted lol
Seeing how many people, especially with mental health conditions, are negatively effected by caffeine is sad because of how EVERYWHERE it is in the US
Fully legal to give to little children and barely any restrictions on it
Yet weed and 🍄s are still illegal all over the US 🫢
I can't keep up with every single comment @ this point but I love you all pls stay safe with caffeine use and be kind to your brains and yo each other ❤️
@Dragoncatclem
While I don't feel more energetic, it does help me focus. I feel like I have brain fog in the morning without my coffee. But that could just be caffeine addiction from years of drinking it 😅
@Delaxiox
Some say caffeine (or weed for others) essentially "connects the dots" that's missing in an ADHD brain, and it's a careful line to tread between "this helps me feel more normal" vs potential for addiction 🫤
@Dragoncatclem
For me its like my adhd regresses to my childhood hyper adhd and not my current adult adhd, which tbh is a nice change of pace because it lets me have more fun, though i dont do it often because im not a huge fan of my heart pounding for no reason
@Dragoncatclem
All caffeine does for me is makes me focus a pinch more but sometimes it makes me sleepy so I drink it slow and controlled (though I dont drink coffee)
@Dragoncatclem
I've never officially confirmed if I have ADHD but yes. If I drink a little coffee, I can rake a nap right after. If I drink a little more, a switch gets flipped and suddenly I am buzzing with productivity and I can feel the caffeine in my brain lol
@KhakiKoyote
Honestly kind of a mood. Halfway in to my big mug of cold brew and I'm absolutely chillin. Finishing it? And like a couple hours later? Fuckin wired
@Dragoncatclem
If I drink strong enough coffee it cancles my meds and I have the strong ADD stuff happen. You know, can't focus, jittery, loss in short term memory. Coworkers thought I got high or something, but nope just my order got a little mess up and didn't get decaf.
