#GirlsOnTheEdge why are we keeping young girls who harm themselves in secure units behind high fences? I agree they need a high level of care but secure?

@DrGilluley All they’ve done is institutionalise those girls. Now they’re going to stick them in an adult facility. Absolutely disgusting

@wee_frumpy Good thing was the girl that went to adult service was there for six weeks and then discharged. My point is that at a young age we need to invest to prevent institutionalisation.

@DrGilluley If you have time, please read #HelpFaithHeal story and follow her campaign. Her story is horrific but definitely not an isolated case.

@DrGilluley Faith is 17 has anorexia and severely SH's she's been sectioned for 4 years and in all that time hasn't recieved any evidence based treatment, she's not medicated and has been tube fed th whole time. Please read her story and spread the word. This is wrong. @HelpFaithHeal
