As a junior doctor I cleverly changed pronouns to hide who I was dating. Today I am proud of what I have achieved. I have been with my husband for thirty years and he has been my total rock through thick and thin!I am satisfied what I have achieved professionally
PRIDE? I find it difficult to explain. 50 years ago as a child I was ashamed of who I was. As a teenager I was told God loves the sinner but not the sin and I was banished. As a medical student I did not think life as a successful doctor and being gay was compatible
And I am so proud and grateful of colleagues who have supported me in my journey. My family have always been there for me abd I love them all very much. The fight is not over however. There are many many many people who are not as privileged as me!
We need to continue to amplify the voices of our
#LGBTQ
community who are not heard. We have achieved much but we have much much more to do HAPPY PRIDE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
