risk this winter if people turn to solid fuel to heat their homes.
It is the most polluting way to keep warm. Instead please focus on other things like adjusting your heating and insultation.
The 8% of UK homes that burn solid fuel produce more particle pollution than all of the traffic on our roads.
It's been 70 years since the great London smog. This taught us about the combined impact of homes burning solid fuel. Let's keep our air clean.

Fully concur with Gary - burning solids is terrible for air quality.
Instead, heat your body, not your home! Some tips from long ago, worth remembering. Also: thermal underwear goes a long way.
