“I think most streamers are small streamers because they are not good streamers.”
Mizkif tells small streamers to stop blaming Twitch for low viewership
@Dexerto
I think most streamers are small streamers because they are not good *marketers*.
Everything he says is correct, but growing on other platforms to promote Twitch is a result of marketing, not just being entertaining while live.
@Dexerto
Most “big” creators do nothing but barely game and react to videos other creators make. Essentially streamer retirement. Twitch as a platform SUCKS for organic growth and stability, and when it breaks the only ones who suffer are small to midsize streamers.
@Dexerto
I agree. There's some streamers I watch who have great personalities, fun, and engaging but don't put in that extra effort.
There are times I que in with a group of rando's and get put in with the smallest of streamers who are toxic. They would belittle me and his other…
@Dexerto
While he isn’t wrong in that you need to branch out to build a following…true for both Twitch and Kick. Streaming only platforms have next to nothing in discoverability. You can meet people through others on the platform too. An effort needs to happen though and that’s the point
@Dexerto
I tell this to anyone who visits my stream and asks how to grow as a live streamer. Basically gain a following from anywhere else, then bring them to your livestream.
@Dexerto
Yeah Twitch streamers. It’s your fault! Nothing to do with Twitch strategically banning gambling and announcing new revenue split on the same day in order to bury a Bloomberg expose of a child predator ring with 280,000 victims, that’s about to get the site canceled in the UK.
@Dexerto
There’s some truth to this but also some truth to the fact some might be very entertaining but don’t put in the work, then there’s some who do both but might not be doing it at the right time. Regardless, there’s no need to comment the way he did, because it doesn’t help anyone.
