With nearly 100,000 people in old San Juan demanding that the Puerto Rico Governor resign I just asked his office if the movement tonight has swayed his resolve to stay. I got this:
The Governor’s stance continues being focused in continuing the work for which he was elected.
@DavidBegnaud
That’s 100k and not counting people in each town also demanding him to step down. It’s clear. The entire island wants
@ricardorossello
out.
@DavidBegnaud
100,000 people? I doubt it was that much but even so there are current 2.9M people living in Puerto Rico. Why should the Governor listen to 1/30 of those people?

I don’t understand why he’s being so obstinate. He’s clearly lost the support of the both the populace and HIS OWN PARTY. He has no credibility left. What does he intend to do? How does he intend to govern? He needs to resign for the good of Puerto Rico!

I am not 100% sure, but I think the law changed and he wouldn’t get pension even if he ended his governorship. I think the main reason is the fbi investigation
