I saw their video, their argument is "it's not going to do well at the box office, but because they're already getting a show spinoff and a bunch of toy deals out of it, it's a success technically".

I think a film that flops but still finds success is considered a cult hit….usually still a good sign, I’ve no idea what that video title is trying to say.

Don't you know that when they say it's a flop it means it is. Like how they keep saying Captain marvel was a flop even though it made over a billion dollars. But it's a flop because Brie called them out for their little d energy and they can't handle it.

When you made a movie that has stellar reviews and topped the box office, but an article implies you went woke by hinting that Splinter is gay

Why TMNT's success PROVES that wokeness, which I do not support, is the worst thing in the universe since Hitler, whom I do not support. By Grenn Gleenwald

I find there are a good number of people that don't get a flop is you missing making back the budget by a lot. So, they see things like this and elemental as flops even though they aren't. They are either slightly successful or slightly unsuccessful. Not every movie makes 3X.
