Starting with #HillsideQuadra in May, speed limits on all local streets in Victoria are being lowered from 50 km/h ➡️30 km/h to reduce the number and impact of crashes. Major roads will not be affected. Learn more: #yyjtraffic

@CityOfVictoria @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Does that apply to the electric bikes that are going 40-50?

@gletham @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Hi Glenn. As e-bikes are regulated under the Motor Vehicle Act the new speed limit will apply to people riding e-bikes too.

@CityOfVictoria @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc To be clear, you will put in signs and then what? Who will enforce this? Will it be the defunded @vicpdcanada ? I’m pretty sure they are busy dealing with the hard to house invited to the City by the woke council. #TrueStory

@CityOfVictoria @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Outliers cause accidents not speed. This will cause more road rage and frustration.

@CityOfVictoria @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Are you sure you don't want to include Finlayson? Yes, that's 4 cars, a garbage truck, a park, and a crosswalk all coming together in broad daylight.

@CityOfVictoria @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Yes! Thanks for doing this. As average vehicle weights keep growing (thanks auto companies for pushing SUVs and trucks so hard), it's so important to reduce speed limits, in order to reduce the harm done in crashes.

@CityOfVictoria @EComm911_info @vicpdcanada @QuadraVillage @icbc Just curious, if they number and impact of crashes does not go down, will the speed limit go back to 50?
