The point is why replace leads in remakes/reboots with minority’s? Surely it’s more respectful to minority’s to create storys/environments/movies with strong minority leads. It’s lazy at best, a lack of creativity and a poor attempt to tick a box, it appears to be backfiring 🤷🏼♂️

Omfg... Anne Bonn was irish, had red hair.and Was white. Not Black or or Asien or smth else. She Was white. And if the Film want (we dont know yet) a Black Anne Bonny...!!! Disney will loose a lot of money.

I just watched the new Spider-man movie with my kids.
You know, the one in which Spider-man is now black?
THEY LOVED IT! They were raised right, so they did not care what the race of the main character was!

They're going to do a reboot on a real historic woman.
Who had red hair and was Irish.
That's the issue...not that people like you care 2 iota tbh.

Except for a few exceptional actors like Denzel, not many movies with black leads do well, it's just a fact. And outside of the US like China or India, they go bust !!
Secondly, they should write new black characters, not constantly substitute black for white, no one likes it

My guy, the problem is them firing Johnny Depp for a reason that's been proving false and then trying to reboot the series he made successful without him

Imagine being so self-insulated in their tiny-taky world that they can't even see what is happening right in front of their eyes. Are you so emasculated that you don't understand your whole identity is being washed away?
No? Well you deserve everything coming your way.
