Fallout London’s project lead expresses frustration with Bethesda, who "has, for lack of a better term, screwed us over," after Fallout 4's update

i hate when people like this think modders and bethesda are on the same page. even if they prepared for it, the rest of the mods would still be screwed over. none of us asked for a fallout 4 update. bethesda is just updating the game for hehe hahas cuz of the show.
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
even if they knew it's happened they don't know exactly how to prepare for it and no idea what will change they don't work with Bethesda and Bethesda doesn't communicate to modders

Exactly wat I was gunna say they new about this new update and even said it might effect mods going forward yet now thr throwing a pissy fit saying that screwed us over? Like buddy unless ur contracted threw bethesda for making this mod they have no obligation to help u out
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
that's not how modding works?
pretty hard to imagine how one would prep for something like that with a mod the size of fallout london tbh.
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
Not really. No date was given out until these last few months. And again you often have to wait til you get your hands on the update to really understand how to fix this stuff.
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
That's... literally not how modding works. Especially in an engine as hacked together and modified as the creation engine.
Even small patches that change small innocuous things can break 90% of the mods on nexus.

The amount of people defending Bethesda is crazy. What they did was dirty and inconsiderate. Bethesda has featured and advertised mods and creators for years. Just a slap in the face
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
That isn’t how it works. Especially modding. Also it wasn’t a year it was about 4 months considering how it was postponed due to starfield and 76. Also they are saying this becuase they know they were under Bethesda’s radar ever since a year and a half ago when they sniped
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
To prep for something like that, the mod creators would need access to the update early (like the fallout 76 PTE servers) to look at the files and configure all of their mod files to work with the new update
@Charlie_YSL
@Dexerto
Unless Bethesda had provided them with early access to it prior to release there is no prep that they could've done due to the nature of the update.
You do not know what you are talking about.
