1/ In a kitchen with many cooks, it's important to have key voices that approve, or reject, the plates going out to the guests, ensuring the whole meal feels like a cohesive, coordinated experience.
2/ We have final say. We have the ability to veto ideas, and sometimes that's important even if saying "no" sucks. The idea is to keep the ship heading towards our north star. For the world that is Claynosaurz to feel curated.
3/ For the most part, we do not get in the way of our Art Director,
@danieljervisart
, or Head of Anim,
@Meena_ibr
. What we do is consolidate and coordinate the ideas into a big picture, with their help. And sometimes box things in. Our job is also to facilitate.
4/ It's the same with our Marketing team.
@cabanasaur
presents his ideas and requests, and then we formulate how that's going to work with the art and all the moving-parts. That involves loads and back and forth, and must feel on-brand.
5/ Community management and experiences? Same deal! We try to let
@BuzzHoldrin
and
@MediaGiraffes
run wild and we take a lot of cues from them. But we also make sure it's cohesive with the masterplans. This is also done in tandem with marketing.
6/ Delegation is important. You hear me says this a lot. You want your players to feel ownership in what they do. To love it as much as you do. They just need to be pointed in a direction sometimes. Because you have the context of what this should look like in a few years.
7/ The voice, the marketing, the look, the way we curate community, how airdrops play out, how people feel when they meet us, and everything that results in an emotional response when you see our Logo or a Clayno. It's about how our brand is represented, executed.
9-bonus/ I still animate the claynos. It's important to keep my knife sharp, but also keep a connection with these characters & with the team. You need to lead by example. Dan is constantly in the trenches as well, coordinating the other CG departments.
10/ Of course, it's the same for retail and merch.
@gaiabrg
presents her ideas and requests and coordinates with
@danieljervisart
. They do tons of iterations.
We just make sure we feel it belongs in the grand scheme of things

You are all doing a fantastic job with your vision. My "normie" friends are largely mixed on my NFT collection because art is subjective, as is their ability to understand digital assets like
@photofinishgame
horses.
The one constant consensus is they Dinos are cute/fun!

Damn, everything you say here is what I observed since the start of your project π§ congrats , itβs smart, beautiful and fresh. You are a strong team and we can see that you were prepared with a strong roadmap and not a random pfp mint or fake project, itβs impressive !!
