@Edwinivich I just don’t understand how administrators don’t understand this. It has become the new normal. And it starts young. My wife works in elementary behavioral intervention, and she told me the other day, “I’m going to be visiting these kids in jail. They’re going to kill someone.”

Taught 30 years. Had MANY challenging students. Never expected every kid to be a hyper-compliant, perfect angel But.. “Disregulated” students who are REPEATEDLY violent MUST be removed from the conventional classroom setting Even if it’s a “manifestation of their disability.”

@BrettLawrence @Edwinivich Admin gets it. We hate it too but we are under district mandates on how to manage the worst deregulated child, especially since most have an IEP. It’s easier to win the lottery than to get a consistently violent and disruptive child into a different setting.
