P&O bosses gave themselves £15m bonuses after sacking 800 UK staff a year ago and replacing them with people from Asia/Africa paid a quarter of the UK minimum wage.
Meanwhile in France they couldn’t fire anyone because of EU employment laws.

DP World bought P&O in 2006 for £3.3bn. It paid 70% over the market value, for a group thatThatcher had described as “the fabric of the British empire”.

£18,750 per sacking - which might well mean, between them, they pocketed every last penny the wage cuts saved. That is utterly despicable. I blame Tories and capitalism for corrupting their character and assassinating their integrity into miserable, rancid greed.
We all want what's best for this to succeed not withstanding the fact that even P&O ferries decided to flag their fleet out of the UK because even they can see what's coming.

Brittany Ferries also didn't sack anyone not because of EU Law but because they believe in ethical employment.
As far as I am aware they continue to support their staff.
Ethical business for the future is something that is lost on UK Government.

Britain sold P&O. It's a 'foreign' company making money in Britain. Britain is 'open for business'
