I just don’t see this as a smart buisness decision for him currently. Especially since he’s already in affiliation with Hendrick I don’t see losing that partnership to compete against them.

Why? Chevy is thriving with HMS, Trackhouse, and RCR. The only way i see them getting in is if Spire bows out because you also have Kaulig. To many chevys.

JRM to cup rumors/talks have circled the internet since what, 2010? I remember jr saying they’d only move to cup if they had the right driver and sponsor

He needs to have a charter available. Jr. has a good business going right now. If it doesn't make financial sense, he'll stay where he is. Unless a sponsor/ride buyer is throwing in the money for a one-off ride, like the Trackhouse 91, it's a guaranteed money-loser for anyone.
