Yes… and I’ve been especially struck by the extraordinarily narcissistic narrative of Ireland as the noble diplomatic outlier on Israel Palestine … while several European and indeed NATO states are at least, if not more, effective supporters of Palestine.

As a Jew who lived in Ireland for a year, I will never quite understand the Irish romanticism/fetishism of Palestine and comparing it with the Troubles. As long as Ireland continues to blindly pick a side because of feelings it will never be taken seriously

It's a shame Micheal could not have put forward any solutions rather that just say a military solution is not the correct path.
The obvious solution is for Israel to become multicultural. This needs to be put forward and encouraged.

Despite all the support MM has shown to Israel in terms of doing nothing meaningful to signal the country's utter distate at what Israel is doing in Gaza, the reaction of Israelis is testament to the reality that even the weakest opposition to their actions will be criticised.
