The 22 million acres they want to give away is an utter insult for public lands advocates everywhere. Just an industry fire sale of public lands. Creating a few BLM managed national monuments will never make up for this.

@BasinRange @DustinMulvaney Only a few percent of the 22 million acres would be "given away" for solar development. You don't have to like it, but you're not winning me over with your exaggeration.

@dvs1444 @DustinMulvaney Read the documents. That is the plan, but no, they will never have their shit together enough to develop it all.

@BasinRange 🌱Solar and wind should be developed in cities and towns where nature is already destroyed, not viceversa. #KeepNature Don't destroy any more nature for development.

@BasinRange Obligatory mention that solar farms could easily just coat canals for a huge amount of savings but *utility companies* are fighting tooth and claw to avoid this to maximize profit margins. That said, the situation+the admin's role in it is being exaggerated a bit here.

@BasinRange @EdwardGaillard There are abandoned pit mines that could be converted! Mountain tops leveled and destroyed by mining could be used! Areas around landfills!
