This is the Mojave Desert on Death Row. The Bureau of Land Management has been working overtime to approve the Bonanza Solar Project west of Indian Springs, Nevada in spite of opposition. The fact that it is on a crucial desert tortoise area seems to mean nothing to them.

@WTFWilliam1 No way to do this without a net loss of plants and wildlife. It can't work out for everything. Turning the desert into an energy wasteland will result in great loss.

@BasinRange We really need to find a way to get some international effort going, so that these places don't get ignored for the "prettier" places and stories. We have to stop ALL of these equally destructive projects. I want to see blockades of people out in the wild, not in DC.
