Did you know that those with ADHD/ADD who allow themselves to run on manic energy for extended periods often experience โADHD Crashโ? You run on your energy for so long and then when you finally rest, you just drop like a log. Itโs okay to be tired ๐ take care of yourself
I woke up after like 2 PM, went out for a bit, came home, felt super tired still, went to sleep at 6, and I am waking up again at 9 PM almost.
Fuck me, I missed out on an entire day, Iโve never done thisโฆ ๐ญ
I was just feeling extremely tired.

What a lot of doctors do not like to face is the fact that many of them donโt know a lot about ADHD or its effects. Theyโre still discovering things about it every day. I had to teach my doctor about a side effect I have, as it was recently discovered. Theyโre always learning too

I would recommend talking with your doctor and exploring options/getting tested. ADD/ADHD often presents with symptoms that get misdiagnosed as other mental health issues. They used to incorrectly diagnose some ADHD cases as bipolar disorder. Always ask questions!

Wow I did not expect this much of a reaction but yes! This is a thing! It manifests differently for everyone. A good resource for ADHD/ADD facts is:
The crash can be especially noticeable if you are medicated & then skip a day. I once crashed for 10 hours

All of this to say, hey Zen, itโs okay to be tired. Itโs okay to take those long naps, and itโs okay to be drained. Just take what you need ๐ we will be here
For those asking, ADHD crash is often the emotion side, but if you feel physical side effects, thatโs ADHD BURNOUT.
Happy to answer any questions you may have!
