Irish Deputy Prime Minister Simon Coveney on a no deal
#Brexit
: “If a new British prime minister chooses to take Britain in that direction then it will happen. This is a British choice… We have a deal”

All forms of brexit make us worse off. The worst is a WTO rules no-deal brexit.
These are our brexit-supporting government's own figures!

No you have a deal that you want. It's so cushy for you lot it was voted through in half an hour over croissants. Face it you tried to screw the UK and now its blowing up in your faces. You're right to be worries Simon. I'm just glad you have lost that smug look. Reality time.
@BBCPolitics
It was a negotiation you had with May, who brought it back to the UK parliament and it was rejected, now i'm neither pro or anti EU but I am pro democracy, and if the UK parliament rejects it, it's not a deal. A deal is a deal when agreed by all parties, this wasn't.
@BBCPolitics
Whether it was popular or not, it was what was negotiated and agreed by those who were given the power to represent the UK.
It’s unpopularity isn’t the EU’s fault.
@BBCPolitics
If you were to ask France, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy as individual countries if they want a free trade deal with the UK, they would all agree. The EU is the problem!
@BBCPolitics
@EU_Commission
have been way smarter than
@UKParliament
. The latter made it so obvious they didn't want to leave & would play ball to help the former reverse the decision. No negotiations have even started yet.
@BorisJohnson
will probably need a GE to realign parliament.
@BBCPolitics
Its not about the government it all about the ignoring the electorate and Democratic process . both government and mainstream media and bbc subverting the process every step of the way . did the same in 1972 the UK was taken in by EEC.
