@BBCNews In London @metpoliceuk advise citizens not to text while walking, stand away from the roadside, and to look out for attackers. The police now tell citizens to change their behaviour because they canโ€™t prevent crime. Itโ€™s a matter of time before you start seeing vigilante justice.

@BBCNews Jeez. Whoever owns it must be really unlucky. Or really careless.

@BBCNews What are they doing with all these phones? There has to be a black market sale every six minutes also.

@BBCNews Suspect the phones costing hundreds of pounds owned by anyone under 17 as they can't be seen outside without the latest gadget are the ones being stolen the most.

@BBCNews Think holding on to your phone is important? Sadiq Khan doesn't. Labour will superglue a phone to the hand of every Londoner.

@BBCNews Make sure you have all the various types of security measures active and have your lost phone tracking switched on.

@BBCNews Donโ€™t put them in your back pocket. Donโ€™t hold them in one hand in public places with lots of people around.

@BBCNews 'Ms Banham was also able to track her phone's location, as it moved from London to Dubai and then to Shenzhen in China, but there was no further contact from the authorities. "My trust in the police is non-existent," she said.'
