Same thing that made Ambrose so fast. Having to nail those big braking zones like the one after The Chase in Mt. Panorama lap after lap in heavy cars.

This is a little misleading though as the other fast drivers today had issues toward the end and weren't in a position to run fast laps while the track was getting faster/drier all race.
