It’s real crazy how the average NBA viewer disrespects Tony Parker and his legacy. The man was outplaying CP3 in his prime in New Orleans in the Playoffs. He was a top 5 candidate for NBA MVP and won at every level he played at since he was a teenager.
@TheFadeawayPod
Tony fa CP3 not the conversation though, article that came out today on SLC Dunk was that Gobert is on pace to surpass Tony as France’s greatest BBall player ever. That’s just a ridiculous take.
@AssassinateHate
Exactly. The guy is a hall of famer but people keep disrespecting him. Spurs would always make me made because they were so damn good. Especially Tony
@AssassinateHate
Is this pertaining to that post that claims that Rudy Gobert is on pace to become france's greatest bball player? Don't mind him - about 70% don't know bball and are all about analytics. Best thing is just to ignore :)
@AssassinateHate
Parker historically gets a bad rap for those early years w/ the Spurs. Everyone remembers the late-game benchings. The team wanted another Avery Johnson. But the reality was he was asked to lead a perennial title team at a VERY young age, & still performed at an incredible level.
@AssassinateHate
parker 19 ppg on 54 TS% (49/44/71), 26 reb 5 stl 40 ast to 22 tov, led his team in no categories
paul 24 ppg on 56 TS% (50/20/76), 31 reb 18 stl 75 ast to 16 tov, led his team in points assists and steals
seems more like duncan outplayed west and manu outplayed peja and etc.
