Woke Hindus exhibit no hesitation in donning a hijab for their travels in Afghanistan. However, if you ask them to dress modestly while visiting a temple, they will start crying about centuries of oppression

There is a line in Shri Tulasi Ramayan, Sundarkand which says
"भय बिनु होई न प्रीति"
Which implies sometimes respect is also out of fear.
This solo traveler is doing it out of sheer fear, coz she knows she'll be lashes naked or beheaded if she doesn't obey the dictat

I usually travel alone most of the time, however, the thought of visiting Afghanistan after it was captured by the Taliban never crosses my mind or becomes a preference.

It is more like life insurance for her in Afghanistan than anything else, which generally isn't needed in India, as she probably plans to return back to India, and not settle in Afghanistan. It's not wokeness, its insurance.

It is by punishment that all people are kept under control; for an absolutely guileless man is hard to find; it is through fear of punishment that the world subserves the experiences (of men).

They don't realise Hijab is not culture, it is a symbol of oppression and objectification.
women in Muhammed's time were forced to veil to differentiate them from the kaafir slave girls.
Hijab is a divinely mandated symbol of objectifying women.

Because these people don't feel any connection with temple. It's just a tourist spot for them and they think, they are doing something heroic by not following the dress code.
