@Antrodemus
It's such a weird case of "very uncreative knockoff character design used in some very creative ways" (eg. the Quiet Place monsters or the Darkdwellers from DS2) - both those monsters would be all-time great concepts if they weren't just visually mini-Cloverfields!
@miscfionn
The Darkdwellers in DS2 are the only time this design actually scared the shit out of me. Thank god I had the torch when I was in No Man's Wharf.
@ShardShadowhear
Two of these are literally primates so not really a fair comparison. The MUTO and that Kaiju get a pass too because they have either multiple limbs or enough animal anatomy to not qualify as "grey lanky humanoid"
@Antrodemus
That bottom right image I mistook for a MUTO for a second. They too have a pretty boring design honestly. I understand the thinking behind their creation but they are still pretty boring looking.
@SharkHatter
That's on me. I can't fault Cloverfield and Future Predator for being original for their time.
Also, Predator X is the informal name of Pliosaurus funkei before it was published. I think you got confused there.
@Antrodemus
i don't mind the design however i will admit besides clover all these guys move in the same kind of fashion, unreasonably fast, extremely powerful shredding machines, maybe that's just the most efficient way to portray the design but id like to see something different.
@RogueCreate
I definitely feel like that's because it's a meme at this point and the similarity between their movements wasn't a mere coincidence either.
