Arrived at HOO from Rahimo FC Bama. Afriyie made his Ghana senior debut in June during the Black Stars' involvement in the Kirin Cup Soccer four-nation tournament in Japan & been ever present since. Recently called up to Qatar World Cup, he may not sound familiar but he will soon

Afriyie represented Ghana at all ages, captained them at U20. He was once rejected by Asante Kotoko SC ended up winning more medals than any footballer in Ghana under the 2020/21 season. See Below 👇

Afriyie is blessed with blistering pace and balances that exceptional with his ball-dribbling skills. He likes to play wide left or right of a front 3 but can play centrally. His ability and close ball-control is where he excels, he has incredible ability to dribble with speed.

Afriyie shows intelligence in his runs, when playing centrally he’ll peel off the last man to get through on goal. Once he’s through he has a wonderful composure and a fantastic striker of the ball. He’s an instinct, clinical finisher but also has a great long range strike!

He’ll speed up attacks with his great close control-dribbling and electric pace. Afriyie is very comfortable playing on either foot, he’s extremely unpredictable which almost makes it impossible to defend against. He’s very skilful and uses his skillet to get his marker.

He’s agile and can weaver his way around challenges. Afriyie will often run the channels to create space for himself, draw his marker in before unleashing a beautiful cross into the box. He knows exactly how to deliver a dangerous ball for his attacks to score.

Another key element to Afriyie game is his aggression, he has this sense of hunger & desire to succeed. He’s extremely durable in possession, his low-centre of gravity, quick feet and balance makes his incredibly difficult to dispossess.

For all his attacking attributes, he works hard in his defensive duties, always tracks back when needed with is an humble trait to possess. When he regains possession, he’s dynamic and drives forward, relieving pressure of his team. A great outlet to any team.

Afriyie can go inside or on the outside of opponents, when out of possession you’ll often see him picking up pockets of space between the lines, when ball eventually reaches him he, roles the ball on the half turn opening his body stature for his next move. He has great wave

Length with his teammates, as he’s a pleasure to play with. He likes to play short one-two passes, blended with great off-ball movement. displays a natural technique to make fast decisions in tight spaces, when under pressure & in crowded areas. For quite a slime figure, he knows

How to shield the ball very well using his body Afriyie is all-action, energetic, flamboyant Footballer who holds all attributes to make it to the top. Ghanaians should be proud of their boy, there’s not much he can’t do in the attacking phrase. When giving the licence to express
