Lots of people are going with hotels instead of
@Airbnb
because of the fees and ridiculous requirements and policies of homeowner. Just not worth the hassle.
During the Super Bowl, an owner of 95 AirBNBs in Phoenix expected to rent out all his properties at $1,200 a night.
After dropping his price to $500, 55% of his properties were still vacant. Changing times?

You now have to submit a photo of yourself, me being ugly and scary looking found myself getting my reservation canceled. I’m no longer using the APP

@Airbnb
+ worsening customer service & false advertising. Neither
@Airbnb
nor its legendary founders can be bothered about issues any more. They do get credit for convincing investors that an Apple like experience is possible without any regards to the supply chain, or the customer.

We did a rome trip in 2015 and prices were good and experience was average or above.
Again in 2022 and we hated every spot and wasn't as affordable
Never doing airbnb again. Hotels are just better

So much this.
On top of a $200 cleaning fee, I have been required to take the trash out to the bin, strip the beds and put the linens in the laundry/utility room.
?????
Airbnb and others are pricing/hassling themselves out of the market.

So true. Advertised price $125/night. *Clicks on listing” total:$ 225/night… like wtf are these made up fees?
Hotels offer more value.
