You can sue them if the gun is defective.
You just can't sue then for the actions of others using their product. Same way you can't sue Toyota if someone driving a Camry runs you over.

Whats the main purpose of guns, its to shoot and kill. Main purpose of a camry is to break down every 50k miles. If you purposefully make something with the intent to murder, then you should be sued.
