People think they need to buy altcoins > bitcoin to get insane returns. Long term bitcoin will give a ridiculous ROI as long as your entry price is good enough. Everything else is a crapshoot.

Alts are just leverage on BTC imo. The goal is to outperform BTC with them, but I would not allocate more than 40-50% of my pf in alts as they are riskier. I like them for flips, but then dump them after they multiplied btc
@walter_wyckoff
Exactly and people are better off only trading them if the technicals indicate a move otherwise it’a not advised. It’s similarly to people holding SP500 ETF’s. Most people were better off holding those as suppose to certain stocks or work with a hedge fund
@StanCratcha
XRP’s chart doesn’t show it performing that well against btc. It reverts back to the mean after every pump, which makes it not a good investment vehicle. People will never learn
@cryptoamd
I am still waiting to hear why 80k is a LT target? What will make it trade that high, heck, even above 6k again? Futures has killed it. Are you following a fractal?
@cryptoamd
I agree (to a large degree, where you say it's the 'safest') but on the X-ing possibilities, based on past ATH's there are several good coins that can do 50X, 60X, even 100-125X. Bitcoin to 85K if we get in at around 2K is about a 40X... so YES, that is a very safe bet.
@mycryptogen
Dgb I still like the project a lot and a few others. The logic behind is that everyone is looking for the next 100x when btc can provide amazing gains in the long run and it’s the most solid investment. Just because I like an altcoin doesn’t mean it’s going to succeed
@cryptoamd
1)Not everything but for most of them, I agree. It is a subject to change due to their objectives.When you examine their code, dev. requirements,etc,ETH is far fronting every other DApp targeted assets.For finance/payments-XLM, XRP,XVG and MCO is ahead.Haven't looked at DGB yet.
@cryptoamd
2) On the other hand, ETH is very slow, you cannot build an enterprise solution. Strat seems to be another good choice for ent solutions but not gave me enough confidence due to lack of documentation.
@cryptoamd
3) Checked out NEO also, chinese ETH, multi-language support is good but due to restrictions for lightweight contract requirement, they didn't have a good integration with dev IDE, resulting with painfull dev. cycle. So yes, very long way to go..
