If you call anyone who works in fast food “just a burger flipper” or they just “pour coffee” you can’t use those services anymore sorry but it’s illegal for you to do it until you get a fucking grip
It’s always the same fucking thing, oh you flip burgers you don’t deserve what /EYE/ make as a tech or whatever, shut the fuck up??? What do YOU do just look at a computer screen while they make food, clean to corporate standard, service w a smile, and much more while on a timer

also, when you say "they'll just automate your job if you demand more" ... automation never gets more expensive, it only gets cheaper. So that's just saying "Grovel while you can before we automate it anyway"
@Akitron
What if you've done all the same jobs from sweeping floors, throwing trash in a dumpsters to flipping burgers and know 15 bucks and hour to push a broom is too much for new workers... Work, prove your value and earn a raise.
@Akitron
its absolutely ridiculous that people keep spouting that it's unskilled labour when its literally learning dozens and dozens of recipes, then making them not only DELICIOUS, but also consistent, safe, and extremely quick??
thats a HUGE skill, i flat out cant do that
@Akitron
I worked in fast food once, lasted two weeks. Hardest I ever worked in my entire life, including as a pharmacy technician right now, and second place isn’t close

I hate the "You had one job" meme where people laugh at stupid shit like a Whopper with the cheese on crooked or a 10-piece meal with 9 nuggets.
That "one job" is being a cashier, a cook, a caterer, a janitor, and more while a manager younger than you breaths down your neck.
@Akitron
Worked at Burger King, a dry cleaner, a videotape factory, and as a lawyer. Going to court scared the crap out of me but the other jobs were way more demanding.
And I could NEVER be a server. I would throw food at someone eventually.

@MaraWilson
Everyone who says that needs to read the book "On the Clock" by Emily Guendelsberger, specifically the part where she works at the busiest McDonald's in San Francisco during a promo event, but also just the whole thing. 15 an hour should be BARE minimum.
@Akitron
I had a very respectable job at a doctor's office. After covid, my babysitter wouldn't wear a mask. i quit my job to keep my children home.. we couldn't afford it so i worked nights at taco bell. I thought it was respectable. Astounding. People are awful.
