The framing of Sarah Jama breaking the “trust” of the NDP caucus is interesting because her views about Israel-Palestine have stayed consistent to before her being elected — and even before winning the NDP nomination.
Here's our story, for subscribers.
I'm told the NDP supported Jama in making a speech today — but then she read a different one. Words like "apartheid" and "occupation" weren't part of the original script.
It was the final surprise that got her booted.

We all know it was the NDP who betrayed Sarah, not the other way around. That party has no purpose if this is how they are going to act, but I guess the top brass are still lining their pockets so they don't care.
Sarah Jama has been ONE, only ONE political figure in this whole fckng country who's been consistently the sole voice of conscience. And she is kicked out by a racist Karen that lords over a so-called 'progressive' party. SHAME ON MARIT STILES. SHAME ON NDP.

These words are familiar to me.
People with power use these words to describe anyone who disagrees with them especially after they have tried to use their powers to get said someone to “revise” their views or values.

You can say it the NDP kicked Sarah Jama out because she didn't "know her place". Kevin Yarde last year another Black NDP MP got similar treatment. I doubt Canadian media will speak up about the race element.
