The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas again reminded the public that folded P1,000 polymer banknotes, sometimes also called plastic bills, should still be accepted.

PD 27 states that it's unlawful if bank notes are willfully defaced, mutilated, torn or destroyed. BSP clean note policy ensures unfit currency to be removed from current circulation. It should always be accepted as a medium of exchange of goods and services.
