@BARTAficianado The Dr. that wanted the surgery done was Dr. Pickering of Reno NV. The surgeon was Dr. Jay Beams MD of Susanville CA. The surgery itself was performed in Redding California in 1992

@914Ann That is horrendous. I was told it would be dangerous to have a baby. They would be too big. My babies were less than 7lb. I know plenty that have had bigger babies

@914Ann I’m so sorry and horrified to read what happened to you. My cousin was diagnosed with Type 1 c1975 and went on to have 2 children. She also became an OB/GYN. What happened to you was so wrong.
