Storm choosing over and over again to highlight the mutants of Arrako’s right to self-determination, and ensuring some level of agency even in situations where she could just solve the problem for them was my absolute favorite.
Maybe “solve the problem” is the wrong way to say what I’m thinking. Moreso that her approach to being the X-Men’s presence on Arrako was so obviously anti-colonial, and I’m so glad comic audiences got to experience it. I think this comic will genuinely have real world benefits.

It’s unbelievably good, highlights Storm and her growth through a series of personal and “professional” challenges, and uses gives greater visibility to male bisexuality. A triumph of storytelling all around.

The best Storm story in years, a flawless look at Magneto at his lowest and a beautiful death scene, a fascinating exploration of a different mutant culture, Isca the Unbeaten...so many things.
