For the last pages of issue 3 alone this series is in the Hall of Fame for me. Mystique and Destiny needed this reintroduction to readers so bad.

I’ve never looked forward to a monthly release more. The character work, lore, art, dialogue, and tie-ins were so interesting and fun.

Gillen had big shoes to fill taking over after Hickman's departure, and he absolutely crushed it, in many ways outdoing Hickman's X-Men

It brought me back to the golden days of Bendis’s New Avengers run where the best issues were just the team sitting in a room and talking. I ate that up and Immortal was a much needed hit if that type of storytelling.

The far right makes me laugh, it’s just funny to see Charles Xavier with a married couple of women. Like, mental mutant or no, you aren’t going to win over Destiny and Mystique, Chuck.

They all did a really good job manipulating each other lol
No but really, I like how so many different individuals with different view points of how mutant loves and morality should be dealt with and how that all culminated into the downfall of a nation. It honestly was perfect
