Is that because of the quality of the rappers? Or is it the market itself, where you can get songs and snips all over? I mean think it’s kind of a problem across genres. Don’t you?

I've always wondered if it's just me being a "old head" about rap music but I don't understand the appeal of today's rap vs the 90s and early 2000s. I just feel it was objectively better music. I feel like it being a saturated market has a lot to do w/ it.

Are they really “hip hop” artist? I think the biggest issue was not putting these folks in a different genre and just calling it hip hop.

Lol. I feel you but that not how it works. You can’t just make up percentages. He’s talking about number of streams. Tangible numbers.

It’s really still around tbh but they just don’t become mainstream or even established underground artists. Eventually they just give up after about 5 years is what I’ve noticed
