@216_Wildboy @mymixtapez Is that because of the quality of the rappers? Or is it the market itself, where you can get songs and snips all over? I mean think it’s kind of a problem across genres. Don’t you?

@216_Wildboy @mymixtapez I've always wondered if it's just me being a "old head" about rap music but I don't understand the appeal of today's rap vs the 90s and early 2000s. I just feel it was objectively better music. I feel like it being a saturated market has a lot to do w/ it.

@216_Wildboy @mymixtapez Yeah we have allot of quantity and not quality. Some of these new hip hop artists I can’t even finish the album.

@Longbluesquid @mymixtapez Are they really “hip hop” artist? I think the biggest issue was not putting these folks in a different genre and just calling it hip hop.

@216_Wildboy @mymixtapez Lol. I feel you but that not how it works. You can’t just make up percentages. He’s talking about number of streams. Tangible numbers.

@216_Wildboy @mymixtapez It’s really still around tbh but they just don’t become mainstream or even established underground artists. Eventually they just give up after about 5 years is what I’ve noticed
