How do America’s newest legislators prove that they’re manly enough for the job? They go out and chop wood for the Capitol stoves, of course.
Here, freshman Senators Magnus Johnson (Farmer Labor Party - MN) and Lynn Frazier (R-ND) chop wood to prove themselves worthy.
Johnson was elected to fill this seat in July, making Minnesota the only state where both Senators are members of the left-wing populist Farmer-Labor Party.
Johnson worked as a farmer for 30 years before being elected to the US Senate - and he intends to keep farming in office.
Magnus Johnson of the leftist Minnesota Farmer–Labor Party is elected to the U.S. Senate in a special election to fill the unexpired term of the late Senator Knute Nelson, making Minnesota the only U.S. state to have both its Senators as Farmer-Labor Party members.

It’s a common misconception that photos from that era were poor-quality; we are led to think this way because they are often reproduced so many times that they become compressed and muddied.
The raw photos were shot on film and are excellent quality, as good as today’s.

The modern version of this photo op would be Buttigieg driving to a photo op about transportation and then stop 200 yrds away and hop on a bicycle and ride the last 200 yrds to make it look like he rode his bike all the way from his office in DC>
